We need to confirm the operational voltage rating of the CSD97374Q4M which is specified as 24VDC. For a variety of market reasons we would like to run this part at 27VDC if possible in a Ta of around 80c, could you advise whether this is possible and what the maximum current conditions this could be done under?

    Aaron,
    The breakdown voltage of the internal FETs is 30V. 24Vin is specified in the recommended operating conditions table, in anticipation of ringing on the switch node.

    I would not recommend operating at 27Vin, unless you can guarantee that this voltage will never exceed 30V, maybe via snubbing techniques. This will however, have some impact on the overall efficiency.

    Vin is limitted by the breakdown voltage of the FET, not the power level, so the SOA in Figure 5 would still apply.
