Hi

We are using the MOV [VDRH14M014TSE] on the 12V DC input voltage to protect from the SURGE levels. The same 12VDC is connected to the power DC-DC converters VIN. In the SURGE case, the max clamping level of the MOV is 43V at 10A and the same is going to the DC-DC converter VIN pin.

As per the datasheet the max input voltage is 20V.


Please suggest whether it will protect or damage the device during the SURGE condition.
