TPS40170 - TPS40170EVM-597 R12

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS40170EVM-597, TPS40170

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS40170EVM-597?(Please refer to the following URL.)
http://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/ug/slvua14/slvua14.pdf
Compared with the TPS40170's datasheet P30, R12(49.9ohm) is added.
As our recognition,  is R12 used to increase Vout as followings?

<The difference of Vout>
The datasheet P30 : Vout = (20k+2.74k)/2.74k * 0.6V=4.97V
TPS40170EVM-597 : Vout = (20k+49.9+2.74k)/2.74k * 0.6V=4.99V

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • R12 is approximately 50 ohm.  It is not intended to adjust the output voltage.  It is placed to allow loop measurement to terminate the AC signal transformer from the network analyzer.  If you are not measuring the loop, you can replace it with 0 ohm resistor.
