TL5209 Lowest Output Voltage (No Response Yet)

What is the lowest output voltage for the TL5209. I'm looking for a low drop-out linear regulator that can handle 2.5V in and put out 1.2 - 1.25V at up to 200mA. I'm using the TL5209 in another part of this design, so even though it is overkill for this particular function, it will be simplify the BOM and increase buying efficiency. According to the info on Page 15 of the data sheet, it appears that if R2/R1 approaches zero, it should put out 1.242V, but I'm not sure how low R2 can go, and what the ideal value of R1 would be in that case.

  • Hi Marty,

According to the title for the device, the minimum output voltage supported is 1.3V.  However, if the adjust pin is connected directly to the output pin, then the output could be set to 1.242V.  The only potential concern would be stability, but varying the output capacitance could help with this.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Thanks,
