Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22954

Hi,

Could you please help to review schematic of TPS22954 as attachment.

Vin=3.3volt

Vout=3.3volt

Enable threshold: 3.0volt.

Output power good threshold:3.0volt.

Thanks!

  • Hi Jefer,

    The schematic looks good and it seems that both the enable and power good have been set to 3V based on the resistors chosen..

    Thanks,

    Alek Kaknevicius

  • Hi Kaknevicius,
    If any concern about both enable and power good set to 3V ?
    Thanks!

  • Hi Jefer,

    When turning on this should not present a problem since the enable is the only one looking for a 3V signal.  VOUT is not yet up at this time, so the sense pin does not "conflict" with the enable pin.

    When turning off, because both are set to the same threshold, either one may trigger.  However, both will accomplish the same thing: PG will be pulled low and the device will be turned off.  The difference is that the sense pin going low will restart the device while the enable pin going low will shut off the device completely.

    Can you give me a bit more information on the application?  Why do both sense and enable need to be set to the same 3V level?

    Thanks,

    Alek Kaknevicius

  • Hi Kaknevicius,
    I just follow the setting of TPS22954 EVM.
    Our application is control 3.3V(input) to 3.3V(output) and need a power good signal to enable next LDO.
    Thanks for your support!

    Regards,
    Jefer
