When IN2 pin voltage is higher than IN1 pin voltage, is there possibility that TPS2320 is damaged?

Best Regards,
Kohei Sasaki

  • Hi Kohei,

There is no differential voltage rating spec within the datasheet. I believe IN2 can be higher than IN1 (such as 5V and 3V respectively).

I noticed you had asked a question earlier regarding single channel operation within this thread:

Is this question for the same application?

Note that if IN2 is floating, the concern is that the GATE2 circuitry will be in an unknown state and the device might trigger a fault.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Alex-san,

    Thank you for your answer.
This is not same application as the previous question.

Now TPS2320 is damaged in another application. However the cause is not clear. So I posted this question to research the cause.
