Hello,

I going to upgrade the regulators in my NEC CD player the LM series appear to have excellent ripple, load and line regulation, and noise over the old NEC7805 regulators.

Would the  LM340 TO-220 series be compatible with the NEC CD player. It has wires leading from regulators to power supply.?
