LM4510: What is the maximum frequency of the true shutdown isolation?

Part Number: LM4510

Dear all,

I have few questions about operating LM4510.

1.Can the "true shutdown isolation" function turn on/off the output voltage between 0V and Vout?

2.What is the maximum frequency of turning on/off the device? Can I use a PWM signal with 50kHz frequency to turn on/off LM4510?

3.Have other IC which is similar to LM4510 with true shutdown isolation but having higher out voltage? From LM4510 datasheet, the maximum output voltage of LM4510 is 18V. But in my case, the output voltage is 40V at least.

Thanks for all help!

  • To answer your question:
    1. Yes, it is a true shutdown and it functions with 0V to Vout.
    2. Although I don't have the data at this moment, your 50kHz sounds too fast. Softstart, additional circuit delay to EN, , and loop bandwidth should been all taken into account.
    3. What is your power level?
