TPS7B4250-Q1: Leakage Current

Hi Team,

If a voltage is applied to the output of the TPS7B4250-Q1 when there is no power applied to the input, how much leakage current can be expected to flow through the chip? Say, for example, 18V on the output.

I think that because the device has back-to-back FET inside the device, the leakage should be minimal, but has it ever been tested?

Hi Jared,

The current flow back to VIN is low (less than 5 uA, see data sheet spec.), however, there is still current that flows to the GND of the device when VOUT is raised. We measured approximately 70 uA into the OUT pin @ 12 V, and 210 uA at 18 V.

For the measurements, what was the temperature range at which they we tested?

Hi Jared,

The measurements were taken at 25C. The datasheet specification that Mike refers to is valid for Tj -40C to 150C.
