CSD17510Q5A: Buck Converter NexFET™ Selection Tool - FET Power Loss Calculator

Part Number: CSD17510Q5A

Hi expert,

I'm using your power loss calculation tool on http://www.ti.com/tool/fetpwrcalc.

But I cannot change low side MOSFET setting even I change low side FET to CSD17552.

If I need to calculate two MOSFET parallel condition, how can I verify this tool to meet the parallel requirement?

Please kindly help me on this case, thank you so much!

Thanks,

Ann Lien

  • Ann,
Unfortunately it is not possible to parallel FETs in the tool, this is a future enhancement we are looking to implement. As a potential solution, you could divide the current by the number of FETs you want to parallel , so if you want 40A through 2 FETs, then use the tool with 20A through a single FET to get an estimated power loss per FET.

  • Hi Chris,

Thanks in advance for your help. I will try to get a closer result for my customer. Hope the future enhancement could be better for us and come out faster.

    Regards and thanks,
