TPS62080: TPS62080 softstart

Part Number: TPS62080

Hello

In TPS62080's Datasheet,It has the following description.

===============================================

When EN is set to start device operation, the device starts switching after a delay of about 40 μs

and VOUT rises with a slope of about 10mV/μs (See Figure 27 andFigure 29 for typical startup operation).

===============================================

Q : What is the variation of this 10mV/us?

My customer is considering about startup sequence.

He want to know its time min. & max. value.

Regards,

Taichi Nakamura

  • Hello Nakamura-san,

    the Vout slope during start-up is not specified, but I do not expect a large variation.
    If the start-up time is important I recommend to use the power good (PG) pin as an indication signal in your system that power up is finished.

    Best regards,
    Ivo
