Hello,

Is there a SS capacitor maximum value restriction?
Any correlation between Css and FETs shoot-thru?

Any issue with higher values... up to 220nF?

Cosmin,

I typically design for SS times between 1 and 15 msec. As you no doubt noticed, TPS56221 has a different SS feature than most of our parts. Let me see if I can get additional ifo on Monsday.

Also 220 nF only amounts to 13.2 msec SS time, not what I would consider unusually long (see above). Css does not have any relation to possible shoot thru. That is determined by the dead time controller internal to the IC.
