Part Number: BQ27426EVM-738

Hello,

I evaluating both the BQ27426 and BQ27411 modes with the EV2400. However, often times when I launch the bqStudio software, I get the Target Selection Wizard (meaning that it could not auto-detect the device). I tried selecting the device that I am trying to connect to, but that doesn't work either.

I also tried using both versoins of the bqStudio, but to no avail.

I said "often times" because it has worked in the past and every once in a while I get the problem of no auto detect. But it seems this time I can't get past it.

  • HI WIlliam,
If you are unable to get the devices to wake up then it is liikely that they are damaged. What voltage does the vdd pin measure? If there is no 1.8V output voltage on that pin then the chip is likely damaged and needs to be replaced.

    thanks

I have verified the output voltage and it does give 1.8V

Can you send over screen shots of bqstudio when you try starting the tool? Also what firmware version is on the ev2400? And what bqstudio version are you using? can you try a different bqstudio version from the product folder?
    thanks

I have received my prototype board and I can communicate with the BQ27426 device, so I can move past the fact that I can't communicate with the eval kit.

I have previously generated a golden image file with the BQ27411 BQ27441 eval. kit. Can I use this golden image with the BQ27426?

  • In reply to William Huang28:

    Hi William,
No you can not. You have to generate a new golden file for the bq27426.
    thanks
    Onyx
