LM5165-Q1: VSSOP package and ISO testing

Hi ,

I would like to know if we will have VSSOP package for X version (5 V output) or for adjustable.

This application requires to pass ISO7637-2 for 24V battery application; this specifies input pulse up to 200V for 350msec.

Is there any device able to survive with only input capacitor or is it mandatory to put a TVS?

Hello Umberto,

Unfortunately no current plans for a VSSOP version...

I recommend using a clamping device of some sort as 200V for 350ms is a lot of energy for a capacitor to absorb while minimizing the voltage rise.

Hello Umberto,

My apologies, I looked up the non Q version. this does NOT come in a VSSOP package. However, the Q grade version, LM5165 -Q1 DOES come in a VSSOP package.

Regarding Wettable flanks, not plans currently...

But LM5165-Q1 has ONLY 3.3V out in VSSOP, not the 5V that I need.
