TPS65086: TI PMIC or ref Design for Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ XCZU17EG platform

Part Number: TPS65086
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP12004-HE, TPS544C25,

Hi Sir,

Does TI have PMIC or ref Design for Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ XCZU17EG platform?

We only fount out the PMP12004-HE support XCZU15EG.

  • Hi Hugo,

The XCZU15EG and XCZU17EG are very similar in power requirements. The XCZU17EG can use slightly more VCCINT current but the TPS544C25 can handle up to 30A. The only other major difference I see is the possibility of additional current for the GTY rails. VMGTAVTT (GTY) can be powered by BUCK6 which can support the extra current. VMGTAVCC (GTY) will likely require an external rail if the full current is needed.

The Xilinx power estimator can help customers to determine the actual power requirements for their design and whether PMP12004-HE would work for them.

Note that the PMP12004-HE uses the TPS6508640, part of the TPS650864 family, which is releasing later this year.

  • Hi Sir,

    Thank you very much.

Do yuo have TPS6508640 & TPS650864 family compare list or presentation file can be share for me?

  • Hi Hugo,

The TPS650864 datasheet has a quick comparison of the released version on page 4, more in depth on each are further down in the datasheet.

The TPS6508640 and TPS6508641 are expected to be released 3Q.

  • Hi Sir,

    Got it,
    Thank you very much.
