Hi Team

I am working on Power Bank that has wireless charger as well(15 watt).

if I placed the charging coil over the batteries, is there any risk factor ??

Does this affect the efficiency ??

(I am wondering that wireless charger generates the Heat at the time of charging and this might be risk factor, if I placed coil over batteries)

Hello
The AC field from TX coil will enter the RX coil and anything nearby such as a battery resulting in heating.
Magnetic shielding material can be used to protect the battery and other parts.

What's the difference in receiver and transmitter coil?

Hello
The RX coil and TX coil cannot be inter changed.
TX coil will need to support large circulating current from the LC tank.
RX coil will need to be small with fine wire to fix portable form factor.
Inductance of the two coils will also be different TX is about 6.3uH (5V input), RX is 12uH or more.
