LP873220-Q1: Digital In/Out Description

Part Number: LP873220-Q1

Hello Team,
following question for better understanding of datasheet values: (everthing referred to datasheet SNVSAT4 - June 2017)

Page 10 - DIGITAL INPUT SIGNALS EN, SCL, SDA, CLKIN

1) is the maximum input value for VIL of 0.4V related to Vin?
2) how is the value of VHYS to interpret?
3) do all input signals have a schmitt-trigger behavior?

DIGITAL OUTPUT SIGNALS nINT, SDA

1) is it possible to calculate the source impedance by using these values? i.e. SDA = 0.4V/20mA = 20 Ohm. This means a pull-up of 4k7 is less than 1mA and causes a output low of 1mA x 20Ohm = 0.04V

DIGITAL OUTPUT SIGNALS PGOOD, GP0, GP2

1) similiar question as before regarding calculation of source impedance

Many Thanks

Josef

  • Hi Josef,

    See my answer below.

Page 10 - DIGITAL INPUT SIGNALS EN, SCL, SDA, CLKIN
    1) There is some dependency but datasheet specifies the maximum value which means that if signal level is kept under 0.4V it is recognized as low level always.
    2) VHYS is subtraction between VIH-VIL levels for digital input signals.
    3) Yes.

    DIGITAL OUTPUT SIGNALS nINT, SDA
    1) Pretty much like this. Of course pull-up voltage affects and this 0.4V/20mA gives maximum for the source impedance.

DIGITAL OUTPUT SIGNALS PGOOD, GP0, GP2
    1) same applies for these.

    Best regards,
