REG71050: REG71050DDCT

Part Number: REG71050

we're planning to use the REG71050DDCT in a product that must operate in the presence of explosive gases and so be intrinsically safe to the ATEX ia IIC T4 standard. Don't worry, it's up to us to make the IC safe and we'll take full responsibility for it. What I need though is to know the maximum voltage the device could generate under fault conditions. For instance, will its silicon break down and limit the voltage it could produce to a certain value? I've copied the circuit below showing the proposed method of protection, but still need to know the maximum voltage it could produce under fault conditions without the protection devices added.
