CSD18563Q5A: About RDS(on) of CSD18563Q5A

Part Number: CSD18563Q5A

Hi Team

These are customer demands about TI MOSFET "CSD18563Q5A".

The customer wants to measure RDS(on) of CSD18563Q5A.

1) Do you not have distributed data of RDS(on) under conditions of VGS=10V, ID=18A?

2) Do you not have data at temperature 75 degrees Celsius of figure 7 (page 4 of datasheet)?

3) Please tell me the method for measurement of RDS(on) which you go in the last shipment examination.

4) The customer wants to obtain a socket of CSD18563Q5A to measure.
Please tell me the acquisition method.
  Where should they ask?

Thank you

  • Toshio,

    Thank you for posting.

    1) Do you not have distributed data of RDS(on) under conditions of VGS=10V, ID=18A?        Why is the customer requesting this? If the customer is looking for any sort of guarantee for distribution, all that can be guaranteed is what is in the datasheet for typical and max. Distribution of the resistance varies over time across the individual wafer and from wafer lot to lot. Specific test data is considered confidential and not something we share.

    2) Do you not have data at temperature 75 degrees Celsius of figure 7 (page 4 of datasheet)?        The customer can use figure 8, Rds(on) vs temp to then adjust the curve in figure 7, but as the resistance is almost linear increase with temp and 75degC is mid way between 25degC and 125degC, then you can assume a 75degC plot would be 1/2 way between the 25degC and 125degC fig7 curve.

    3) Please tell me the method for measurement of RDS(on) which you go in the last shipment examination.       The devices are tested to the conditions in the datasheet, Vgs=10V and Id=18A.

    4) The customer wants to obtain a socket of CSD18563Q5A to measure. Please tell me the acquisition method. Where should they ask?        There are a couple of manufacturers of sockets I am aware of that the customer could buy from, one is Loranger ( ) the other is Plastronics ()
