TPS3820: The timing variation for the Watchdog time out

Part Number: TPS3820

Dear team

The device have Watchdog time out with 112ms to 300ms, so this is 6 sigma data for all corner, right?

so if for a particular device, we would like to know which conditional will impact on the  Watchdog time shift? like temp? and also is there some relationship between this conditions and the time shift.

Thanks for your help.

  • Jason,

The main factors that affect watchdog timing are temperature and operating voltage. There is no direct relationship because not every device will have the same timing, but in general, at high temperature, the timing is quicker and at cold temperature the timing is longer. I have seen devices that barely change across temp so it really depends. The timing specs provided in the datasheet account for all device variation across all temp and operating conditions.

I hope this answers your question!
