CSD97394Q4M: EMV issue with new IC

Part Number: CSD97394Q4M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD97376Q4M,

Hello,

on the TI-Homepage is written, that the CSD97376Q4M got replaced by the CSD97394Q4M. Also there is written, that the new Synchronous Buck NexFET™ Power Stage is  "exact equivalent in functioallity an parametrics to the compared device".

With the CSD97394Q4M I have EMV problems on my design. Can anyone from TI tell me, why there is an newer IC and what has changed (regarding  EMV issues)?

Best regards,
Tobias Weber

  • Tobias,

    Thank you for posting.

There were no silicon changes made from the one part to the other. As the note on the homepage says, they are the exact silicon equivalent. Can you confirm the EVM was working fine with the 97376?

It does not make sense that the EVM would be working with one part but not the other.
