Part Number: TPS61041

Hello dear E2E Community,

I want to power a piezo element with the TPS61041. However, when I operate the device within the desired switching interval, it causes an overshoot of ~300mV, on the transition from "on" to "off". I attached the screenshot of Vout below. Do you know, if the device can handle it? Are there any limitations regarding the overshoot?

  • Thanks Youhao.

    Hi Sir,

The overshoot is a normal phenomenon when there's a load transient. What is your Vin, Vo and the load transient value? if the maximum Vo is still within the spec, it is OK.

    Best Regards,
    Helen

    Hello Helen,

    Thank you!
The Vo is 7V, so it should be fine, as the Vomax of TPS is stated as 28V.
