LP3470: Threshold Voltage relation to POR circuit and CPU pin voltage-level

Part Number: LP3470
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3890, TPS3128, TPS3123

Hello,

We need a POR circuit with attached waveform for the CPU on our PCB. The CPU pin voltage is 1.8V.

Which part would you recommend? Maybe it should be something similar to Maxim MAX6898. I also found UC3903 that have more POR lines than needed, but the voltage level might be matching better...?
The LP3470 seems to be for higher voltages than the 1.8V CPU pin uses. Please advise.
If it still works, to achieve an about 3.8ms delay would you recommend 2nF capacitor on SRT-pin?
Thanks & regards,

  • Albin,

If you want a part like MAX6898, I recommend TPS3890. This is a high-precision voltage supervisor with independent sense pin, programmable delay, and manual reset.

If you need a watchdog timer in addition to voltage supervisor, I recommend TPS3123 or TPS3128.

Please provide feedback on these recommendations and let me know if they are missing something you need.
