LP38798: LP38798SD-ADJ/NOPB No Stock

Hi TI'ers,

I've designed in a LP38798SD-ADJ/NOPB and am currently getting prototype boards made. I would normally buy these parts from a disty, but no one seems to have them and the restock date at digikey just got pushed back again. As an ex-TI employee (a0272436) I know there are often a few units sitting around in apps engineer's cubicles. Would it be possible to get say 3 units so I could get these boards assembled and continue development?

Hi Trey,

You can request samples through the TI store. LP38798SD-ADJ/NOPB appears to have stock reserved for samples, but is not in stock for regular orders. From the LP38798 product page, click on Order Now tab, then click on Request Sample. This will take you to the TI Store to complete your sample request.

Sorry to bother you with this and thank you for your quick reply. I have already tried to order samples, but TI has a new process where you must be approved to order samples. I requested access, but for some reason was denied. Perhaps I should try requesting access to the sample program again?

Hi Trey,

The max sample quantity is 5 for this part. I'm not sure why sample access was denied. I would try again.
