My application will consist of the following:
2-4 cells of Alkaline batteries (Zinc + Mn02)
Operational range of 2.2V to 12V.
1) Can the BQ35100 be used with alkaline batteries?
2) Can it go up to 12V?
The datasheet states an absolute max rating of 5.5V but the demo kit user guide lists a Vbatt+ to Vbatt- of 32V.
3) Are there any TI products that would provide coulomb counting and possibly voltage measurement for an alkaline cell application?
