TIDM-TMS570BMS: Cells not balancing

Part Number: TIDM-TMS570BMS

Hi,

After downloading the right version of the ccs software (TMS570BMS not 1402EVM), I finally got the GUI to open while only attached to the the Hercules launchpad! However, the cells aren't balancing. I didn't make any changes to the software. Every 4 seconds D4 turns on for 1 second, but the cell voltages aren't changing. Here is my screen. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Also, "The balancing time and period are constants defined in the TMS570LS0432 software." What line in what file is this setting?
