USB-TO-GPIO: USB-TO-GPIO connect 『Unknown Device』

Part Number: USB-TO-GPIO

Hello!

I connected the USB-TO-GPIO to my computer and an "Unknown Device" issue will appear.
And the green LED will not light up.

  • Connect the Adapter first to your PC without connecting the ribbon cable to the target.

If that does not help disconnect and use a different USB connection on your PC.

Only after the green LED is on, then connect to target.

    Regards,

  • Hi!Bolurian:

No device is currently connected, only USB is connected!

The situation is still the same, change the USB cable, change the USB slot, and change the computer.

And I have two USB-TO-GPIO  that are all the same situation .

    Thank you!

  • Please disconnect the interface from USB,  reset your PC and try again.

  • Hi!Bolurian:

    well!
In fact, I found the real problem! This is USB-TO-GPIO EEPROM (24LC64)
The program inside has been deleted!I found a lot of similar situations using Google search and TI E2E search.
    Now I have two solutions:
    method 1.
Using an EEPROM ISP, first use the normal USB-TO-GPIO adapter
Back up EEPROM data before using EEPROM ISP Write data to the erased EEPROM to restore USB-TO-GPIO
    normal.
    Method 2.
Locate the TUSB3210 driver and download it (www.ti.com/.../sllc160)
Because your company's driver does not have a digital certificate, it must do so.
First disable the digital certificate (press "F8" when Windows starts).
Make the TUSB3210 driver work properly,Then use the USB-TO-GPIO firmware loader
(www.ti.com/.../sluc199)Update firmware to restore USB-TO-GPIO normal.

    Thank you!
