WEBENCH® Tools/LM34910C: LM34910C output voltage problem revisited

Using the LM34910C, presently my output voltage has nearly 100mv ripple which I would like to reduce. So i reviewed my notes and see that the original design was run through Web Bench. I went to Web bench and received a message that the part is found but is not supported.

Now this may be true but my memory, which is often suspect, and my few notes clearly show Web Bench values. I then checked the Web Bench history ( my history ) and found nothing. I know I ran several analysis' within the last couple of months.

So, what is going on?

[Now this oddity of not being able to access a previous web bench derived design has happened before ( about a year ago ) with the LM5017.]

We have disabled this device temporarily on WEBENCH as we are working on a fix.

I understand the fact that it is disabled.

But, can you give a good estimate of when it will be Enabled?

And, just why did you disable it? Maybe that information will give me a clue with the performance issues of the LM34910C .

Hi Jaye,

Sorry for the delay. It turns out LM34910C has been disabled in the tool for a while (2015). Can you please confirm if you have a very old design on the LM34910C or if you happened to use another part?

Amod,

I originally designed the LM34910C into a product in 2014. First iteration was designed by my calculation. Later I tried Web Bench and used web bench to adjust a couple of parameters.

Now I have designed LM34910C into a new product. Again I started the design by my calculation and then, because of the ripple I observed was a bit more than desired, I went to Web Bench and as you state, it had been disabled.

When will it be enabled for the LM34910C?

Exactly why was it disabled? I wish to know what relation to the design may have been flawed within Web Bench.

Hi Jaye,

Since the device was disabled in 2015, we do not have complete history of why it was disabled. However, we are thoroughly verifying the design in the tool for LM34910C now and will release it once it is done. Currently, we are targeting release for around first week of November. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

In the meanwhile, if you have any design related questions for this device, I suggest asking them on this forum so a product expert can help.

Just a little reminder that I would like to have the Web Bench for LM34910C .

Also, the expert support apparently wishes to have it. Although I have not heard anything from the experts for a couple of weeks.

Please keep all of us (experts included) posted if you are still on target for release quite soon.
