TPS62080: Would the TPS82080 be suitable for a DDR4 VTT Termination Regulator?

Would the TPS62080 be a suitable regulator for a DDR4 VTT termination regulator? The regulator would need source/sink capability of around at least 400mA and be able to keep regulation within plus/minus 3%. My feeling is that the TPS62080 would NOT be suitable since it doesn't appear to have sink capability and because it doesn't utilize a reference voltage, but I'd like to hear from the experts at TI. Thank you. John

Hi John,

You are correct. TPS62080 cannot sink current. Would TPS62097 work, with its SS/TR pin input?

The TPS51200 is usually used for Vtt.

I am the marketing manager for the TPS51200. If you give your email I can also propose other options; TPS51206 is +/-2A (source/sink) and smaller; it also integrates the VDDQ REFIN resistor divider for tighter VTT accuracy over temp, lower cost, and higher reliability.
