TPS54160: TPS54160, Vin 36V-42V from battery , when Hot plug the board ,the TPS54160 will bad , It is probabilistic ,Not every time, It hard to catch the diagram of shock ,if there any advice to solove it ,many thanks ~

When you hot plug the input, it is probable that the device to see an input voltage higher than 36V-42V. It is also possible for the device to see ringing at the input pin greater than 60V. If the device sees voltage greater than 60V, it will be damaged. This will also be made worse if you are using long input cables.

I recommend capturing the event with an oscilloscope trigger set to Single. This will allow you to capture one event when you plug in the battery.
