Hello Given,

The absolute maximum for VIN is -.3V to 100V. It is not a valid condition for the VIN pin to see -.7V for 30ms. This will put the device at risk.

Hello,

This can cause a problem with the current flow through the device. If the input voltage goes negative in relation to SW and Ground, the high side fet's body diode will conduct. There is then potential for the high side FET to become damaged.
