Hi,
What happens if 5V is applied to an output pin of TPS2044B when there is no 5V applied to IN1 and IN2? Can the 5V on the outputs backfeed to IN1 and IN2 pins? Could the IC be damaged by this?
Thanks a lot!
Marcus

Hi, Marcus,
When part is disabled or VIN UVLO, internal power switch is turned off, and the switch is back to back FET. So 5V on OUT will not backfeed to IN1 and IN2. And IC will not be damaged. Below is reverse leakage current in datasheet FYI.
When part is enable and Vin is not UVLO, like Vin=4.5V, then you applied 5V to OUT, this 5V will backfeed to Vin and current can't be limit. However, part usually won't be damaged this case.
