We got a question from the customer about TPSM846C23.
Could you help us?

How much is the variation of Vout at below conditions?

Rset=10k
Tj=-40~125C

We assume we should consider "Setpoint voltage tolerance" and "Temperature variation", so it is +/-2.5%. Is this our understanding correct?

Yes, both set point tolerance and temperature variation will effect your Vout set point. The tolerance can also be improved with a tighter tolerance Rset resistor.

Hi Tateo-san,

With a 1% Rest of 10k you the output voltage operating range is between 0.7V - 2V. Keep in mind that the output voltage tolerance will be affected by the tolerance of the external Rset resistor. Let me also get back to you with more information on the expected output regulation variation % for this application.

Hi, Thank you for your support. If we use 0.5% tolerant resistor for Rset, how much is the variatin of Vout which includs "Setpoint voltage tolerance" and "Temperature variation"?

They are considering using the IC for the power supply of FPGA Core which requires 1.0V+/-3%.

Using a 0.5% tolerant Rset resistor (compared to a 1%) will improve the Vout tolerance by 0.25%
