LM3549: Difference voltage level between power source and digital control

Part Number: LM3549

Hello.

I got a question while I consider "LM3549" for LED control.

There are two power pin VDDP and VDDS but there is not any description about their difference.

LM3549 will be controlled by 3.3V level MCU and 5V power source is connected to it in my case.

How can I connect them?

There is level shifters in LM3549 but I'm not sure it is okay to use it with different voltage level.

  • Hi, Kim,

    Sorry for the delay.

It's OK and please make sure your SCL/SDA signal meets the requirements:

So if you use 3.3V for MCU, please use pull up to 3.3V for SCL/SDA.

Please help to click "Resolve" if the problem is solved.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Kenneth
