Dear Guys,

My customer got some issue regarding to BQ27621 I2C bus writing,

For some case the user will tried to remove battery and hot-plug battery again during system operation (system is powered by AC source in this case)

After above action, we failed to communicate to BQ27621 (write battery temperature) through I2C bus.

It seems the gauge IC is in sleep mode after battery insertion in this case?

Could you please check following questions, thanks.

  1. The I2C bus is not available if BQ27621 is in sleep mode?
  2. How to wake-up the BQ27621 in this case? The system is power by external AC source so the output current from battery is quite small
