UCC28056: UCC28056

Part Number: UCC28056
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28051

Dear TI-Team,

I want to design two PFC-preregulators that boost two different voltage sources to 400 VDC. The first source is a standard 230 VAC 50 Hz power grid and the second source is a batterie with a voltage range from 210 VDC to 360 VDC.

Now my question, is it possible to use UCC28056 for both PFC-regulators ? I would like to use basically the same components for both PFC-stages to be able to use the same schematic and the same layout for both regulators. I know that UCC28056 usually works as a AC/DC PFC stage but I am not sure weather it will also work with my DC-input from my batterie ? The only difference that I can think of is that with my DC/DC-stage I won't need a full bridge rectifier.

And if UCC28056 can't boost an DC-signal then I would try using UCC28051 as a DC-booster because I would still be able to use a similar schmematic and layout.

Thank you for your help.
