LMR33630: LMR33630

Part Number: LMR33630

This device is available in three different switching frequencies. The obvious advantage of the 2100kHz is inductor size. Is there any advantage (other than EMI reasons) to using a lower frequency?

Regards,

Kevin

  • Kevin,

    Lower switching frequency advantages:

    • Better EMI performance
    • Higher efficiency (switching losses reduced)
    • Less strict layout

    Lower switching frequency disadvantages:

    • Larger solution size (L, CIN, COUT)
    • Increased cost (because of larger components)
