should take care for optocoupler dependency to temperature?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28019A

Dear All,

i have finished a pfc converter with UCC28019A.

now i want to add an isolated dc/dc converter after the pfc.

ctr of the optocoupler depends temperature.

question:

does the output voltage depend on the temperature?

Best Regards,

Ras

  • Hello Ras,
    The answer is no. If your control loop is doing its job properly then a variation in output voltage will result in an adjustment of the PWM and this brings the output voltage back to its desired set point.
    Variations in the optocoupler output will be compensated for by the control loop.

  • Hello John,
    thank you for the reply.
    may be there is something i can't understand it.
    i would explain to some extent.
    please consider input and output of optocoupler in a temperature of T1 and T2 as an example:
    T1: Vin=2.5 ==> output=2.5
    T2: Vin=2 ==> output=2.5
    please note that the values are for example.

    in two different temperature the output of the optocoupler is the same. so in T1 the controller regulate the output voltage to a value and in T2 to a different value.

    Best Regards,
