USB-TO-GPIO: Native 64-bit driver dll version for USB-TO-GPIO

Hello,

we are running several devices of http://www.ti.com/tool/USB-TO-GPIO

We control them using the provided dll "USB Adapter Driver.dll". This dll is designed/compiled for 32 bit architecture systems.

We have to migrate to 64 bit Windows now. Therefore we do need a native 64 bit dll for this product to be able to stil use it.

Can you provide a dll compiled for a 64-bit system?

Hello,

What is the error you are getting? The 32 bit should be able to run in emulation mode on the 64bit. See: docs.microsoft.com/.../running-32-bit-applications

We have some applications that we compile for 32 bit that run fine for the 64 bit OS as indicated in the documentation mentioned above. Let me know what error you are encountering and I will help you debug further.

yes basically you are right you can run a 32 bit application in emulation mode on a 64 bit windows environment.

But it is not possible to access a dll compiled for a 32 bit environment from within a process that is compiled for a 64 bit environment.

We are using Matlab and need to access the USB-TO-GPIO from there. As the "master" process is a 64 bit application we also need a native 64 bit version of the driver for the USB-TO-GPIO driver to stil be able to use it.

Are you able to provide a dll compiled for a native 64 bit environment?

Hello Alex,

I will be unavailable for the next couple weeks. Take a look at the latest API compiled for the SAA adapter. The one that you are referring to is quite old and is no longer maintained. The saa adapter I believe may be compiled for any cpu. Let me know if this works for you.
