Part Number: TPS61253A

Hi team,

What's the value of auto PFM threshold?

Datasheet shows the term but I can't find the value.

Thank you.

Regards,

Allen

  • Hi Allen,

The auto PFM threshold is 0.4V. You can find the value on page 14.

    Hi Zack,

Thanks for the feedback but I'm asking the valley current threshold to exist auto PFM since this is not shown in datasheet.

0.4V should be the Mode pin logic to select PFM/PWM/ultrasonic operation?

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Allen

    Hi Allen,

The typical value is 95mA. Why do you need this value?

    Hi Zack,

The question is raised by customers, they want to know when will the device exit auto PFM.
That's why I ask the current threshold.

Does 95mA mean once inductor valley current higher than 95mA, the device will exit auto PFM?

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Allen
  • In reply to user4979989:

    Hi Allen,

The 95mA is a typical value. The variation of this valley current threshold is quite big and it could varies from 0 to 200mA.
Yes, once inductor valley current higher than this threshold, it exit auto PFM.
