    Hi Frank,

    D17, R18, & C26 are used to slow the rise of the output voltage during startup to prevent overshoot. We recommend typical values in section 2.8.6 of slva305c, but the RC values can be increased or decreased to lengthen or shorten the duration of the output rise.
