TPS62291: Thermal performance

Team,

My customer is working on thermal risk analysis for the system, where they use our TPS62291 in an LED lighting application.

It is possible that our device may be exposed to 85C or higher temps for extended periods of time.

Do we expect any performance degradation of our device if it operates at 85C continuously?

Do we have any test data to share?

Hello,
according to section 7.4 of our datasheet the max Tamb is 85 degC and you have to be sure to not overcame the Tj (junction temp) of 125 degC. Further details are in this document: www.ti.com/.../spra953c.pdf

Can you confirm that our device performance should not change over time, as long as 85C ambient and 125C junction is not exceeded?

Hello,
if the parameters of the application are in the range specified in the datasheet there isn't problem.
