TPS560430: Is it O.K. to leave FB pin open when 3.3V fix output version (TPS560430X3F)?

Part Number: TPS560430

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is going to use TPS560430X3F for their next products and they are designing the schematics.

 They have the follwoing questions.

Q1. Is it O.K. to leave FB pin open when 3.3V fixed output version (TPS560430X3F) is used?

Q2. Is the FB pin not connected anywhere internally?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

 Best regards,

 Kazuya Nakai.

  • Hi,

For fixed output voltage version, the inside feedback resistor is actived, the FB pin shoube be connected to output directly. FB pin can't be floated otherwie the output voltage is not regulated and maybe equal to input voltage.

  • Hello Andy,

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. It is helpful information for the customer and me.

If the information is added to the device datasheet, it will be helpful for other customers too because we couldn't find the information in the current datasheet version (SLVSE22B).

Thank you again and best regards,
    Kazuya Nakai.
