LM5160: About the LM 5160 operating temperature

Under the condition of input 8-32 V, output 11.7 W (insulation)
Is the IC usable at an ambient temperature of 70 degrees?
When using it, what kind of problem is likely to occur?

Hi Michi,

I think you can try to use webench to simulate thermal at your condition and see how much the part heats up.
You can go to product page and on the right hand side you will have a design tool form to start a webench simulation

As long the junction temperature is below 150 degree C, then the part should be ok.
This all depends on your board layout and how much board area used as thermal pad.

Thank you for your answer.
I already simulated on webbench.
The LM 5160 could only simulate ambient temperature up to 40 degrees.
If you use it at more ambient temperature, please let me know if the LM 5160 can operate or if it has information.

Seems like i am able to run with 70 degree ambient
