LM5176: LM5176 mode pin resister value

Dear Sir,

I put mode(Pin4) pin 47Kohm to GND then to see SW1 waveform, seems have little into DCM mode(as below picture).

in datsheet only have 93Kohm & 200Kohm to set CCM function.

May I know R_mode=47Kohm have any damage issue? if I put 47Kohm.

What is R_mode limit value?

    Hi Steven,

    Thank you for using the LM5176. However, we do not recommend the MODE pin resistor to be different from what the datasheet says. You may see it works with 47k but we do not guarantee it always works. The LM5176 does not support CCM, because in DCM it may be some rare corner case (very rare but not completely excluded ) in which the LM5176 does not operate proplerly.
