TPS61081: Vout would be go high to 8V in no load condition

Hi expert,

My customer found out TPS61081 Vout go high to 8V in no load condition and we can fix it by placing 10kohm for dummy load. Application is 3.3V~4.2V -> 5V. We would like to know if TPS61081 could be used in 5Vout application. Since there is no show for 5V application in datasheet, we would have question on it. Thanks a lot!!

    Dear Ann,

    TPS61081 doesn't support no load condition. And this device is focus on the higher output voltage application, like >8V....

    You can keep use it if you can make sure the Cout_max is small and there always have some load at the output side.
