BQ25713: About REGN voltage

Part Number: BQ25713

Hi,

Could you tell me the voltage of REGN in each mode?
I want to know the VREG voltage corresponding to each mode and VBUS voltage.
Customers want to use Vreg for other uses.
For that reason, I want to know the status and voltage of Vreg in each mode.

・Buck mode
・Boost mode
・Buck boost mode
・Battery only Mode

Best Regards,
Yusuke

  • Hey Tsukui,

In buck, boost, and buck/boost mode, the REGN voltage will be based on the highest voltage in the device. If either the input voltage (VBUS) or the system voltage (VSYS) is above 6V, the REGN will regulate to 6V (typical).

However, if the highest voltage (VSYS or VBUS) is below this, the charger may operate in drop-out mode is stated in the specification you provided.

In battery only mode with Low Power mode enabled, there will be no voltage on REGN.
In battery only mode with Low Power mode disabled, the voltage will match the above statements in that if VSYS is higher than 6V, the REGN voltage will regulate to 6V, and if less, it will operate in dropout.

  • Joel-san,

Thank you for your kind support.
    I understand your explanation.
