TPL7407L: Output spanning multiple chips

Part Number: TPL7407L

Hello,

I'd like to use channel 7 of the first chip and tie it to channel 1 of the second chip.

Would this effectively double my current capability?

I'm tying the input pins for these channels together, is there anything to watch out for?

  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out on E2E!

Yes, you can parallel channels together for higher current capability. In fact, for example, you could parallel channels 2-3 on the same chip for higher current capability. Be careful across multiple devices, since the Rds,on of the FETs could be slightly different due to process variation, one switch could be sinking slightly more current than the other device. I also recommend switching from the TPL7407L to the TPL7407LA.

    Thanks,
