Part Number: TPS54340B-Q1

Dears:

Our customer uses TPS54340-Q1 and TPS54360-Q1, and these PNs are NRND.

I promote TPS54340B-Q1 and TPS54360B-Q1, there is an issue about the design:

Is there any difference between TPS54340-Q1(TPS54360-Q1) and TPS54340B-Q1 (TPS54360B-Q1)?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards

Luck Wu

  • Hello Lian,

I have forwarded your question to the product application engineer for this device who will respond shortly.

    Thanks.

    Kind Regards,

    David Baba.

  • In reply to David Baba:

    Hello Lian,

The major difference is that internal circuitry has been modified to reduce noise sensitivity. The B versions are less sensitive to diode selection and layout when operated at high frequency. If you need further details, please send an email to robert.blattner@ti.com and copy Martin.Moss@ti.com.

    Hi Robert:

I sent email and no feedback.

I only want to know can customer use  TPS54340B-Q1(TPS54360B-Q1) to replaceTPS54340-Q1 (TPS54360-Q1) directly in the designs?

And the customer’s design as follows:

Pls. give some advice about it.

    Many thanks!

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards

    Lian ,

Yes they can use TPS54360B-Q1 and replace TPS54360-Q1 as the B version is dop in replacement of the part . Here is the communication slide you can send to your  cusotmer regarding the changes in B version .

    Hi Ambreesh:
    Many thanks for your information.
I only have a question about the "dop"
Is it means of double options?
We can replace them have no change any peripheral design?

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards

  • In reply to Lian Wu:

    Hello Lian,

The TPS54340B-Q1 is a drop in replacement for the TPS54340-Q1. If a design works with a TPS54340-Q1, it will work with a TPS54340B-Q1.  No change to either the PCB or the BOM will be needed.

    Regards, Robert

  • In reply to Lian Wu:

I meant Drop in and  not dop :)
