T2 in pmp11186

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP11186, LM25037
    • I would like to ask the following questions:

The role of T2 in the reference design named PMP11186.

  • What are the technical requirements for the relevant circuit

  • thanks!
  • Hello,

This design configures LM25037 in current mode control. T2 is a current sense transformer that sits in series with the transformer. It provides the controller the current signal for control. PWMx initiates when the internal clock goes low. Then the pulse is terminated when the ramp voltage meets the comp voltage. See pages 14-15 in the LM25037 datasheet for more information.

    Thanks,
    Ryan
